Wesley Hall Apartments, located in Peekskill, New York, is a 118 unit, Mitchell Lama property for Senior Citizens aged 62 and older. The building was acquired by Omni New York, LLC in December, 2008 and underwent $3.8 million of renovations. The acquisition and rehabilitation of the building was financed with Low Income Housing Tax Credits, a loan through the issuance of tax exempt bonds, and a secondary loan from the New York State Housing Finance Agency. The New York State Department of Housing and Community Renewal provided a Housing Trust Fund loan. The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority provided a grant for implementing energy efficient measures.
The rehabilitation was finalized in November of 2009 and included: the renovation of the lobby and common areas, upgraded elevators, replacement and upgrading of mechanical systems, renovated roof, brick pointing, new doors, renovation of the community room and parking lot, landscaping, the repair and upgrading of boilers, and overhauled security systems. Improvements within dwelling units will include new floors and windows, new kitchen cabinets, appliances, countertops and fixtures, and new bathroom vanities, sinks, faucets, bath tubs and tiles.
