Elizabeth Crossings is a new construction project located in the town of Waterloo, New York in Seneca County. The property consists of five garden style residential buildings that have 40 units of affordable housing and one community building. Omni New York LLC acquired the land in 2006 with financing from New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewal Low Income Housing Tax Credits and New York State Housing Trust Fund Corporation.
The project broke ground in June 2006 and the first building was complete and ready for occupancy in April 2007. The project was fully completed and fully occupied by July 2007. The wood frame construction town houses have slanted shingle roofs, double glazed windows, solid oak kitchen cabinets, energy star appliances, carpeting in the living areas, gas fire boilers, state of the art fire protection system and porches for each upstairs unit. In addition, the community building contains a laundry room, live-in superintendent unit, and on-site management office. This family project also provides security cameras, a playground on site, new landscaping including sitting areas, and parking space for each tenant.
